The AMSA board of directors will not be approving new members into the club in the July and August Meetings. So this means if you want to become a member and attend the 2012 Camporee in August, you need to turn in your new membership request no later then 6/17/12. We will vote in new membership apps on 6/20/12 at our regular board of directors meeting. Please join via the website store or print the new membership app out and mail in to the address provided on the form. Thank you for your support!!!

AMSA will be working side by side with the Assateague Island State Park to host the annual fishing derby. This will be held on Assateague Island State Park, on June 9th, 2012 starting at 10am-1p. AMSA members will be showing kids how to fish the surf. TAckle and bait will be provided for all kids to fish with, along with expert help from AMSA.

Members interested in helping please report to the Assateague Island state park, parking lot at 9am. Please help preserve the past time of fishing by showing our future how to fish.

From 23.6 South the OSV area of the beach will be closed effective 5/18/12, due to plover nest in that area. The area has been restricted since last week however now the NPS has issued a full closure from at 23.6. No vehicles or pedestrians are permitted in this area! If you see anyone entering this area please contact the Ranger's Station.
